Race Report – 25 November 025 Watsons Rd, Wainuioru, Limeworks GRR

Tonight was a graded road race, 26 km’s from Watsons road, over the Limeworks hill to Wainuioru and then returning with the finish line atop Limeworks

It’s a short, punchy course, three decent climbs with a bit of flat in between. The evening was pleasant enough but a moderate nor’easterly breeze did not provide any assistance

The twenty riders who fronted up were divided into A, B & C grades set off at one minute intervals with the A grade first off the mark. The twenty included three e bikes who started with the C grade

The course itself kicks off with a flat 5 km’s of flat that leads into Limeworks, the first climb of the race. After the downhill there’s another section of flat before the longer climb of Padakawa then more flat to the turnaround at Wainuioru school. Then it’s as fast as you can back to the finish atop Limeworks
